I have traveled hundreds of thousands of miles with several Briggs roll aboards. This bag has a zipper expansion, rather than the mechanical expander in the previous model, which was a disaster. I have had no problems whatsoever with this bag, and the wheels and handle are completely solid. Highly recommended./

After replacing several lower quality bags at 89-100 a pop I decided to upgrade to a bag with a better warranty and construction. I travel several times a month and rarely check bags. This 18 inch Briggs is a perfect size for carry on except of course on the regional jets where everyone has to check their bags at the gates. It seems to be constructed well. This bag does not have a dedicated padded laptop compartment, but I always carry a small computer bag so that was not an issue for me. It is expandable but even with it not expanded I can put 4-5 days worth of clothing in it. One of my main reasons for getting this bag is the parts are replacable. Another reason was the handel hardware is on the outside of the bag so it has more space in the bag itself. You can replace the wheels and other items on this bag if they become damaged. My only complaint about the bag is it is made in China. It would seem that with the prices the high end luggage companies are charging they would produce their bags in the U.S. or at minimum someplace other than a location where workers are treated terribly. Again, the bag is of great quality but the profit margain on these bags must be astronomical since Briggs is making them in China. I have also noticed that most of the Tumi bags are made in China.

I use this for business travel and in particular for international travel. It conforms to ALL airline carry-on rules, including the odd Air France dimensions. I do not check this bag, except for rare gate-checks or the odd puddle jumper flight with no overhead storage. It is not intended to be used as a checked bag; the handle does not fully retract into the body of the luggage. The bag is super light, yet very well crafted and has logged a few hundred thousand trouble-free miles. I use this in conjunction with a Briggs & Riley Backpack or another other smaller B&R roller depending on my needs. They all work seamlessly together to make all of my travels a little less of a pain.
