Expensive, well made, but the handle will drive you nuts

So I've had this bag for 4 years now. I travel 100k miles a year, flying many airlines domestically and abroad. It has held up very well. Unlike the other reviewer, I have never had any trouble taking on a plane or fitting in overhead bins. Sometimes you need to put it in wheels first, but you have to do that with a lot of bags. The one, single mind numbingly terrible feature of the bag is the single support rod for the handle. The salesman showd me the clever little elasticated strap for holding a laptop bag against the support rod when wheeling happily through the airport. The reality is that laptop bag falls off the top of suitcase at least once on nearly every trip (the bag slips off the single support rod, as opposed to the design on most similar suitcases that have two support rods). Broke one laptop battery as a consequence of one fall. I keep saying I'll change the bag, but having paid $375 for it (yeah I know...) I am reluctant to throw it away.

Well made, but wide

Very well made bag - love the single handle that makes packing around it much easier (sneakers fit nicely on either side) and very comfortable to drag through airport when you twist the handle 90 degrees.Problem is the wide size makes it difficult to navigate in crowded spaces and it's too wide to fit down the aisles easily so you have to pick it up and carry sideways once you board. The wide size also makes it not fit in some airlines (e.g. BA's old 767 planes - even in club, you have to do this crazy jam it up in the bin thing to make it fit and anytime some one opens the door it comes out). Also oddly the side handle is on the opposite side than my prior bag and I get that mixed up every time I try to lift it in or out of the overhead.Wish I liked it more - and wish the standard 20 inch Werk was expandable, but am ordering a travelpro instead so I don't have to fight the bins and crowds anymore. It is huge and plenty of space for a week business trip if you're a good packer.
