So nice, but one drawback meant I couldn't keep it

This was a super-nice bag; very stylish and that silver lining inside made me feel really ... uh, pampered, I guess? Maybe faux-glamorous. Aanyway, I digress.Unfortunately, the deal-breaker was the SINGLE POLE telescoping handle.With the double handle on my older upright carry-on, I could easily pop anything equipped with a strap onto the top. It makes all the difference when you're rushing through an airport to be able to grab ahold of stuff in that bag propped securely on the telescoping handle (boarding pass, passport, etc.). In my case, the bag of choice is my Tumi Everett Essential Tote, which has the strap on back, and slides onto the double-handle, qualifying as my "personal item".But with the Evoluzione, because the handle is a single pole, the Everett (or any bag with the strap, I imagine, pretty much), just flops around. So it ends up having to go on the "Add-a-Bag" strap, where it hangs in front. Now my boarding stuff and other essentials are harder to reach, and it just feels less secure there. Not to mention the final irony: it blocks a view of this nice, super-expensive bag.So with that all said, I just couldn't justify the purchase, especially at this price point.I went with the Hideo Wakamatsu tarpaulin carry-on instead, which (to me) looks even cooler, has the double-handle, and costs about 1/3 the price! The Hideo is, unfortunately, almost 15" wide, so I have yet to "road test" it as a carry-on, and I was bummed to return the Evoluzione.But when it comes to flying, when all is said and done, convenience is still king.I need both, not either / or. And for more than $500, sadly this needs BOTH in spades.

Tumi Luggage Ducati Evoluzione International Carry-On Bag

This is a great looking bag. The quality of Tumi is amazing. The bag roles so much easier than the other brands. The international size is also a plus. I have been able to fit this on the smaller CZRJ 700’s. I am able to use this for a 4 days trip as long as the folding and packing is done in a tight folding pattern. Folding in this matter and using a smaller bag also help have less wrinkles since there is not as much movement during the flight and getting to and from the airport.

Very convenient

For air travel, the concept is great. Ladies can use it as their handbag and also take a carryon.However, if it is to be stored under the plane seat, very much care is required. The vinyl is very thin and could tear easily.The wheels are a bit small and cheap. Larger ones could give easier roll.Otherwise, the concept is great.

Love the look

I saw this bag on another site on sale for $116. List price was $145. Considered buying for about a week because it was just so neat looking, but still pretty expensive. One day I checked Amazon and found it for almost 50% off list price--$76. Couldn't pass up that deal. The bag arrived and I took it on an overnight car trip. The dimensions were on the description, so I have to blame myself. The bag is pretty small. About the size of a large tote. There is a laptop/netbook pocket inside that I really wish were not there, as it takes up space needed for packing. Perhaps it will work fine as a carryon for a flight to an upcoming cruise, but I cannot recommend it as a satisfactory bag for actually packing clothes. Too bad because I love its look.

Nice quality, bigger than expected

Bag is great, but too big for my purposes. Wanted to write a review anyway, just to let others know that the quality of this bag is surprising given its quite reasonable price. It's really big though - I wanted something to double as an overnight bag and as a carry-on for flights that would be big enough to hold a change of clothes, book, iPad, toiletry kit, etc. This bag is actually too big for me to consider it for carrying-on; it would be more appropriate as a weekend (a long one!) bag. Seems to be well-made - zippers and seams seemed solid, and as I said, the quality of the leather was very nice. I'll be returning this and exchanging for the Piel Medium Shopping Bag.

Carry on not

While the case appears to be great quality and its a beautiful print, my daughter was unable to use it as a carry on for her trip to Australia/New Zealand because its dimensions were too large. That was the only disappointment so we cannot say how it held up in her trip.

Love this luggage

The reason I gave it four stars is because the packing material has a cemical smell.It took me two weeks to get rid of the smell that was in the luggage. I used fabric sheetsand the smell finally left. Now this luggage is perfect!
