Amazing spinner carry-on
By W. He
I absolutely lovvvve this luggage!!! Extremely light-weight which is perfect for carry-on especially for someone like me (small). For such a small size, this bag has impressive organization:- full-sized laptop pouch on the front- a small pocket on the front for small stuff- inside the bag, on the back of the top flap, there are a mesh pocket and two pockets with elastic: great for electronics/incidentals; there's a separate, zippered section that's very similar to a suiter, except that it's only two-fold as opposed to the classic three-fold. It has a hook so it can still be used to hang your jacket/shirt if you so choose. Even though this section is not supported by the traditional hardboard that you would find with a full-blown suiter it's still helpful in reducing wrinkles I believe- inside the bag, in the major compartment, there's a mesh pocket on the side as well. For a little over $100, you get a spinner that's super lightweight and perfect size for carry-on (although I haven't travelled with it but I highly doubt that it will need to be checked with the exception of small jets). I did extensive research on luggage, so extensive that a Macy's salesperson was impressed by my knowledge of different models of different brands. Samsonite's spinners are very easy to scratch off. TravelPro is very good quality but too heavy. For these two brands, nothing smaller than 22'' has as good organization as this Ricardo (either no laptop pocket or no interior sub-sections).If you can, check this out in person at a store first. I had never heard of the brand but when I saw it I knew it was IT! And Amazon is amazing for its insanely fast speed and cheaper than discounted department store price. I highly recommend this suitcase to anyone who's looking for a carry-on that they can pack to the fullest and still be able to lift it up AND fit in a regular overhead bin!

ricardo sausalito 20" spinner disappoints
By francesmargret
i bought this suitcase -in pomegranate swirl-at macy's after a lot of research on-line. This case is the right size, it's light (7.1 lbs according to it own labels) and has several interesting features. Even has a handle on the bottom between the wheels. And it's cute!BUT: the feet are too little and when packed, this suitcase won't wheel easily over anything except hard floor surface. Even then, it wobbles and changes course so it's a strain to pull around. But worst of all -- it tips forward whether moving or standing still. I repacked everything to put the heavier items in the bottom over the wheels, but the suitcase still behaves (and looks) like a drunken hippo in a Disney cartoon. I gave it 2 stars for the design features, but it is virtually useless to me and will have to be returned. How difficult can it be to make an affordable suitcase that's light but sturdy, fits in the overhead, spins and rolls easily, doesnt tip, and comes in a color or print you can easily locate on the luggage carousel??

Lightweight but solidly built
By Ajitha K
We recently bought this as my husband wanted a lightweight carry-on that doesn't have to be checked-in, and yet can fit in enough stuff for a week long business trips. He already used on a couple of trips recently, and likes it very much.We actually went to the local Macy's to purchase a carry-on, and tried a few others in the category before settling on this one. It's quite light (~7lb) but quite solidly built, it doesn't cut corners - it has a metal frame supporting the cloth-handle-grip, and the back is made of hard material (not the soft cloth material through which you can feel the pull-out handle). It would have been better was if the wheels were inline, as it is they add ~2 inches to the 20" inch length. It fit quite easily on the overhead bins, but the flights we took it on were mostly international - we are yet to try it on the smaller domestic airplanes.
