The initial performance of this suitcase was superb, but it may have a couple Achilles heels over & above the high price tag.The fabric connecting the 2 halves of the clamshell seems flimsy vs. hinges & the polycarbon panels seem very thin. I worry about the long term durability, but am now committed to faith in Victorinox...their knives have never failed me in over half a century.

I expected more from this brand. It's compact and looks ok but very flimsy. The lock got stuck and I had to play with it for several minutes to get free. Returned and ordered a Samsonite hard case (Samsonite Luggage Cruisair Bold Spinner Bag) - sturdier and with spinning wheels. My husband who is VERY particular about suitcases actually liked the Samsonite so I ordered a smaller size of the same design for his regular travels.
