Pleased with the quality and serviceability of the two Pathfinder suitcases I've owned for years, I purchased a Pathfinder Avenger Xlite 24" in July 2012 to take on a trip to various cities in Italy. At trip's end, I was shocked to discover the 1680 Duramax ballistic nylon material along the bottom edge running between the two wheels was shredded as I had not abused the Avenger. Indeed, my old 22" Pathfinder along on this same trip emerged absolutely unscathed. Upon examination, the reason for the damage was obvious. The older Pathfinders have hard-rubber protective strips all along the edge between the wheels and on each side of it to protect against scrapes. The Avenger has no such protective strips, and is therefore vulnerable on cobblestone streets, uneven sidewalks, etc. Amazon's vender, Shophydra, was absolutely unhelpful when contacted, saying its warranty only covers suitcases "popping open" while in use, not "cosmetic damage." It thus appears that Pathfinder's new ownership has de-contented or otherwise diminished it suitcases to keep costs down.

They were fantastic to work with. I sent them a couple emails asking about the suitcases. The responded quickly and most importantly, honestly. I received exactly what I was wanting. I would recommend them.

After years of traveling I finally found a suitcase that met all my needs. This pathfinder luggage has a compartment in the top that goes from top to bottom. Eagle creek makes a travel piece that hold shirts ,slacks or wahtever you want and it slides in the top. That leaves thr bottom part of ther luggage for lots of other items. I have 2 pieces of this luggage, they are my favorites. I am now getting a third because the 24" has been used so much it is getting a little worn. You won't go wrong on this one.
