The Airstream is a perfectly sized bombproof airline carry on solution. Smaller planes, Stricter security, and less overhead bin space are the norm today.My old big roller was constantly being gate checked and for me that is just not an option. So I would pull out the really expensive bits and slide them into a cheap back pack then reverse the process when landing.The Airstream completely solves the problem even on very small planes it fits under the seat and usually in the overhead bin. I find it will hold all the gear I really need and even a few extra lenses for backup.The construction is first rate with all gear inside well protected. The only knock is the handle which seems flimsy to me but in practice always works perfectly.I use the Airstream in conjunction with the Think Tank Airport Checkin. This two bag system is the best I have flown with in the last twenty years.While I do love the size and build of the Airstream it is not for everyone. I always need a backup system on assignment and the Airstream by itself is just a bit small to carry a full medium format system with DSLR backup. For me this is not an issue since I can slip a DSLR body, charger etc into my checked lighting, stand bags. But for some who need backup but do not travel with Checked lighting gear the Airport International may be a better fit.Think Tank is fast becoming my favorite bag maker, with great design and flawless construction the price seems trivial when compared to the protection and convenience received.

Think Tank makes some of the best camera bags on the market. After trying a variety of back packs and rollers, I now have two bags that I rely on. The Think Tank Airport Airstream is an excellent small roller bag. I find that I use it 90% of the time when I travel as it holds all of the equipment that I really need. I usually carry two bodies and three lenses plus a variety of other equipment. There are only two things against this bag - its weight and its price. The weight is required as the bag is very well constructed. And that contributes to its high cost. However, this is a bag that will last forever and has excellent functionality. One note - I have the low divider set and often carry my lap top in the bag over the camera equipment.

i needed a small camera bag to take equipment to mexico. this bag was perfect. the fact that it is sturdy and won't fall apart is my biggest praise about it. i have had so many camera bags that have had the zippers break so quickly or the handles rip off... the entire construction of think tanks line is so well thought out and you can tell it is quality. i now own three think tank bags. i would recommend them to anyone!
