First o f all let me say that the item was exactly what was described, although some pictures were from another bag. As always amazon delivered correctly and on time. I already had my first trip and they let me pass the bag a a carry on, which was exactly what I was looking for.

I bought this for my shorter trips. I can get quite a bit in there. I'm 6'7" so my clothes are a little larger than the average Joe, but I can get 2 nights worth in easily. (Plus size 15 tennis shoes). I like the middle compartment unzips and becomes a one compartment suitcase. This gives it a lot of room and the straps can help pull it tighter.However, you have to be careful. If your airline measures bags, you may not be able to carry on. I fly SWA and have no problems getting in the overhead bins.

So I just received this today.I haven't used it, but if you read my review of its 32" sibling you'll see how pleased I was with that size.This 22" size... is a "mini" version of the larger, with all the same manufacturing.Same 4 wheels on the bottom.Same thick heavy duty zipper.Same compartment/pocket organization + a small receipt/ticket pocket on the front.Same ability of the partition between the 2 main compartments to unzip and make the bag 1 large compartment.The extendable handle extends further, since the bag is lower.I'll measure it when I get home to see how it fits within airline carry-on sizing... BUT it is smaller than my old hard-sided case which they allow on the 1/2 the medium and larger jets. (Those with big overhead compartments.) And I can just "check-it-under" at the gate on the smaller jets.And after I travel with it, I will update this and let you know how it fares... judging just by its construction, it should hold up as good as its 32" sibling.
